Made by two homeschool moms who'd

rather be teaching than planning

One of us spent more than a decade in the classroom before homeschooling her own kids. The other is in her very first year of homeschooling, learning as she goes. From both sides, we kept running into the same thing: we love teaching our kids. It's the planning that wears us out.

So we built Hey Juniper.

Why we created Hey Juniper

Homeschooling gives families something special: flexibility, connection, and the freedom to learn in a way that fits each child. But behind every good homeschool week is hours of planning that nobody sees, often late at night or on Sunday afternoons.

We wanted a tool that takes the curriculum you already love and turns it into a simple weekly plan, so your time and energy go where they matter most: into teaching, exploring and being together.

Planning shouldn't steal your evenings. Hey Juniper does the heavy lifting so you can close the laptop and get on with your life.

Your curriculum, your way. We don't tell you what to teach. We help you organize what you've already chosen.

More time for the good part. Less time on schedules means more time for read-alouds, nature walks, and the moments that made you choose homeschooling in the first place.

This is my first year homeschooling my three kids, and I'm also running my own business, so my days are a mix of lesson plans and client deadlines. When we started, I quickly learned that choosing curriculum was the easy part. Figuring out how to fit it all into each week was where I got stuck, usually late at night. I wanted something that could take our curriculum and turn it into a plan, so my mornings could go to my kids instead of a spreadsheet. Hey Juniper is the tool I wanted I'd had on day one.

After over a decade of teaching, I became a homeschool mom so my children could have a childhood full of wonder, curiosity, and play where learning was a natural extension of life. I wanted to allow them to take their time in developing their whole self instead of focusing on academic skills. Now that they’re older and academics are mostly the focus during our mornings, we love the flexibility and family connection homeschooling provides.
